Feathers in My Cap

The madcap in me,

Resolved to went ,

On a shopping spree,

To collect feathers,

Which would adorn my cap,

In all weathers.

.

I searched for them,

Here, there and everywhere.

Looked outside for them,

And inside as well.

But soon I discovered,

That the west wind had blown them,

To distant realms.

And true indeed, to me,

This discovery of mine,

Changed the whole  game.

.

Time passed and time again,

The west wind blew in my realm.

But this time, thank God,

I knew the game.

The madcap in me,

Stopped looking for the feathers.

For finally, it dawned on me,

That they would be blown towards my cap,

If I could survive and surpass the challenges,

Thrown towards me by all weathers.
