Drench Me

And the drizzle started

The wee drops falling here and there

Sometimes on my eye lash, making me irk

Sometimes on my palm, I ask it to stop

.

I love Rain, yet I don’t want it to happen

right now

May be later, you must fall O’ Rain

When we are together

Making for a romantic weather

.

But do not get heavier for now

I sense he may take this

as an excuse for not turning up

Or may be not

For I’m the one covering distance

He’s to come just metres away

He always says you love me more

May be this moment puts truth at fore

.

Wish my intuitions don’t turn true

Wish you come, meet me

And keep the promise this time

In last many instances, you faltered

Yet I’m here, again hoping you be mine

.

The rain still, isn’t listening to me

It’s getting heavier

And starting to drench me, all over

But that’s no trouble

Feels as if I’m getting drenched

In your love

A love that’s still incomplete

But feels good

For there’s no losing

It’s about loving you more

.

Rain, O’ Rain

Shower more

Drench me more

He may come or not

It now doesn’t matter

For you’ve given me moments

That even he couldn’t

despite the promises!

  1. Very well written and expressed the true feel of rain and even comparing it above and over romantic essence. Beautifully penned how rain steals all pain and gives you freedom to be free. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
