Moonmoon Chowdhury
It flaps its eager wings
Pirouettes
Sipping a potion of valour
Erasing hurtful things
Silhouettes
Seeking radiance and colour
.
It was caged for ages
And silenced
‘Destiny’ branded on its coop
All buoyant images
Were distanced
Coercing sunny hope to stoop
.
Tyranny planted seed
Rebellious
It envisioned the distant sky
Uprooting fear’s weed
Poisonous
It traversed all hurdles to fly
.
