Decadence

Decadence

Dilapidated existence,

Fruitless resistance,

Almost stateless state of mind,

Defiling acts of all kind,

Degenerates the quality of life-

Ushering decadence,

Triggering strife.

.

This collateral degradation,

Called decadence

Chokes morals,

Impedes improvement.

.

And yet human race,

Couldn’t deface,

This decadent phase-

In all these ages.

As from time immemorial,

They had stooped down,

To surprising low levels,

To outdo each other,

To win the rat-race of survival.
