Covered in White

Covered in plain white

Moments before you were breathing right

The smile you carried, shiny bright

How will I cope with you, out of sight?

.

The blooming plants await you to feed them

Stray dogs seek love as you walk with the men

I’m impatient to see you giggling with friends

Why don’t you wake up and say – it’s still not the end!

.

Covered in plain white

Even when you loved blue and the night

Why are they taking you away, in afternoon light?

Somehow, this doesn’t feel right!

.

But I am unable to do anything about it

For you were theirs, and I still an unknown bit

Before we could say out our love and grit

You went to another home – probably more radiantly-lit!

.

Professionally, I'm into Internal Communications and feel blessed to have a work life that is closely related to what I am passionate about, Writing :)
