Breathe

A different me I saw in me, like literally

The uniqueness in us, though widely known

For me but, it was something unknown

Trying to decipher my dissimilarities

I grew up imbibing your similarities

A smile here, a shout there

Absorbed a lot to show-off my flair

To be counted among the accepted men

I showed-off as a natural, so clever I was then

.

Hidden somewhere in me, was inferiority complex

What I considered alien, and felt distressed

With age and time, like you I matured

Realization dawned, and I found my cure

.

A different me, I now see in me

The uniqueness in us that’s widely known

Introspect says, I breathe in a skin of my own!
