Bitter Sweet Memories

I closed all my doors tightly,

No windows  were kept open,
Even  the little creaks I covered,

With apathy and sheer indifference,
To stifle my cries and painful shouts,

To keep the pleasant memories out,
I drowned myself in worldly affairs,

Surrounded by a thousand friends,
Flowers, sweets ,gifts they brought,

To make me smile and lift my spirits.
Nothing could stop flooding memories,

Encircling me  like the shadows dark ,
Those blissful happy days spent with you,

Now haunt me always and bleed my heart.
