Welcome to the world baby girl,
But it won’t be a child’s play for you,
You are born with expectations,
Still you must not show agitation ,
Calmly wade murky waters ,still breath,
Like a duck frantically moving legs underneath,
Woman,Your basket is heavy,
A never ending burden you will carry,
Yet no frown your face should show,
Wifely duties and household chores,
An obedient daughter,a sister pure,
On your behaviour depends, respect
And honour of the clan,
You will be held responsible and punished ,
For the sins committed by worthy men .
Brace yourself, be strong, be ready to face,
All the atrocities that human history can trace.
To maintain the dignity of an ancient race .
Wonderful. Like the connotation of the duck and the woman.
Thanks Natasha

How very true Sarita, heavy burden, basket is heavy with expectations of an ancient clan! A very striking picture of a woman’s journey.
Thanks Mumtaz
