AN ODE TO THE SUNFLOWER
In the deep quagmire of mirthless thoughts, of a truly lost soul,
Hope hops like a rainbow, appreciating your role.
Your are resplendent in the radiance of sun,
Unmasking that perennial bliss of life, which will never wane.
You are aptly christened as the flower of sun,
O sunflower! You hold the key for a long run.
A minute spend in your graceful presence,
Rejuvenates and reiterates life’s essence.
The maddening voice of anxiety fails to have an impact,
As your gracious presence severs its distasteful contact.
We cross the vast spiritual wasteland of our existence,
As you deftly ship us from there, crusading against all resistance.
You chaperon and guide us back to real life,
In a way that we travelers can appreciate it, despite of its unending strife.
For your sun soaked beauty reminds the hopeless soul,
That there is so much to explore, there is still so much to behold!
